About HF Care

HF Care brings together the legacy of Hong Fook Mental Health Association and Hong Fook Mental Health Foundation.

For more than 40 years, we’ve walked alongside Asian and diverse communities in the Greater Toronto Area, creating spaces, delivering culturally rooted mental health care.

Born from the spirit of Health and Felicity, the true meaning of “Hong Fook”, HF Care wants you to feel safe, seen, and understood —because healing begins when you belong.

Our Story

What began in 1978 as a small ethnocultural consultation service became the Hong Fook Mental Health Association in 1982, and later the Hong Fook Mental Health Foundation in 2001.

Over the past 40+ years, our work has evolved through the belief that cultural understanding is a powerful part of healing. We’ve become a trusted presence across generations of Asian-Canadian communities by connecting individuals, families, and communities to care that feels personal, not clinical.

Today, as HF Care, we continue to stand with our diverse and expanding community. By bridging language, culture, and generations together, we make mental health care feel safe, personal, and understood.

HF Care is a proud member of the Mid-West Toronto Ontario Health Team, the Scarborough Ontario Health Team, and North York Toronto Health Partners Ontario Health Team.

Our Impact

We've become a trusted presence in Asian communities by growing with the people we serve.

Our Future
