When Hong first came to Canada, she faced isolation, financial strain, and postpartum depression, but didn’t have the words or awareness to seek help. Through HF Care’s Supportive Housing and Recovery programs, she slowly rebuilt her confidence, learned new coping skills, and found community with peers who understood her journey. Today, she supports others as a trained Peer Supporter, helping to break stigma and show that recovery is possible when we care and thrive together.
Watch Hong’s story to hear how finding connection helped her rediscover purpose, and how she now helps others do the same.
