FAQ
My family member is struggling with a mental illness, but does not want to get treatment or services. How can I make a referral to HF Care?
Our intake worker will share strategies and approaches with the person who contacts Hong Fook to encourage or mobilize the family member to get services, or refer the callerto one of the programs for families and caregivers for group support.
In some serious situations where individual support is needed for the family member, Short Term Case Management (around 3-6 months) may be offered.
Can HF Care help me with getting a Supportive Housing unit sooner?
HF Care follows with”e Access Point (TAP) in Toronto or Streamlined Access in York Region to support clients to explore or connect with Supportive Housing resources. HF Care cannot speed up the wait time.
