Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or anxious?
Do these feelings make it harder to focus, connect with others, or enjoy everyday life?
Have these challenges been present for a while, and you’re ready to seek support?
We work with leading mental health partners to make psychotherapy accessible and culturally responsive for our communities.
Psychotherapy at HF Care is delivered in partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association York Region & South Simcoe, and the Across Boundaries Ontario Structured Psychotherapy (OSP) program. Group Psychotherapy is delivered in partnership with the University Health Network (UHN).
Ontario Structured Psychotherapy (OSP) Program
The Ontario Structured Psychotherapy (OSP) program provides free and convenient therapy to help individuals experiencing depression, stress, anxiety, and anxiety-related conditions learn strategies and skills to improve their mental health. OSP services are based on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), which is collaborative, goal-focused and involves light reading and practice. Participants receive weekly, one-hour sessions with a Clinician, either virtually or in person.
Services are offered in multiple languages to individuals in York Region, South Simcoe, North York, North Etobicoke and Malton.
Get started by completing the online self-referral form or speaking to your primary care provider, who can submit a referral on your behalf. You will be contacted to get started with a service that best meets your needs. If you are between 15 and 17 years old, apply here for the BounceBack Ontario program.
Group Psychotherapy
In partnership with University Health Network (UHN), we provide group psychoeducation and psychotherapy for the Chinese community. The program includes:
- Journey to Healing: 10-session psychoeducation group promoting mental health, recovery and resilience.
- Integrative Behavioural Group Therapy: 12-session psychotherapy group with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness as the three core elements of intervention.
For more information or to register, please contact your psychiatrist or our Cantonese- and Mandarin-speaking Clinician at 416-493-4242 ext. 2252.
